eucalan -- what flavor?

Hi everybody!

So I have this ginormous jug of woolite I got from costco (before I knew any better), but instead of trying to use it up (I've been trying, but have realized that it would take years), I think I'm just going to give it away on craigslist, and upgrade right now to the good stuff.

So the question is... eucalyptus or lavender? I really like the smell of lavender (just bought a pound of it to make sachets for yarn storage), but is there something about the eucalyptus that makes it superior? Better moth-proofing ability or anything? And oh yeah, the burning question... it doesn't smell like cough drops, does it? (That's what I always associate with eucalyptus.) TIA!

I have the eucalyptus. Yes it is kind of mentholy. However, when the item it dry the scent is hardly noticeable. I have not used the lavender. I like the scent of lavender, but am pretty sure the male members of my family are not interested in smelling like lavender.

I don't know about any special properties in the eucalyptus, however, I love the lavendar and buy that all the time. Problem is, my lys only carries the lavendar in small bottles and the other in both large and small.

As far as your woolite goes, you can still use it to wash your "intimate apparel" in your machine, use the straight liquid for spots. I wash practically everything (can't stand drycleaning smell/itch) so I would use it for my knits (purchased not hand), jerseys, lycra/spandex (I have lots of spandex), pantyhose and knee highs, just about anything.

idk about the eucalyptus, I've only bought the lavendar. I it!

My vote is for the eucalyptus based on quantity. The lavendar doesn't come in the 16.9 oz bottles. Also, the scent is very light once the wool is dry. You can't go wrong with either. But I think you get more bang for your buck with the eucalyptus.
