Question about knitting a shawl
For Christmas I want to make my daughters knitted shawls. I'm thinking just triangular, in garter stitch. Nothing fancy.

Would I just CO however many stitches for the long edge, and then decrease at each end til I come to a point, or will that not work?

Thanks!

You could do that, or start with one stitch and increase. Either way will work, but if you don't know how far your yarn will go, I'd start at the bottom and work up so you'll know for sure if you need more yarn.
