Knitting on two circular needles

Help! I just watched the video on knitting on two circs and I'm a little confused. When switching needles it looks like Amy turned over the knitting like you do when knitting on straight needles. Is this correct? Also, if the pattern calls for stockinette stitch, does it mean that I would knit one "round" and then purl the next, and so on since it's not knitting circular per se.

Any help would be appreciated!

You are knitting in the round, so you only knit for stockinette. The right side is always facing you.

Think of it this way--you're knitting one half, with the right side facing you, with one of the needles, then flipping it over and knitting the other side with the other needle.

Hummm.... I'm not seeing it. I guess I'll have to get to the point and try it to understand. What happens if it calls for purl stitches? Do I just purl? I'm sorry to ask such stupid questions, but sometimes I think I overthink things and confuse myself!

If you're using a pattern that was written for knitting in the round, you just follow it as normal. If a pattern says K2,P2; you will do just that. Try not to think of it as anything different than usual knitting in the round. In the video demo, yes, the work is turned around after the first half of the stitches have been worked, but when you turn the work around you pick up the other circ and start working with it. You are just completing the round - one half at a time.
