Help with this pattern
This pattern says "inc 1 st each end of row every 6th row 3 times - 41 sts. Continue even in Garter st until piece measures 51/2". Change color and knit 4 rows.

Ok. Does that mean that I will have 18 rows that should measure 51/2"?

This pattern reads like stero instructions.
