Anybody have an indulgence? Mine is Homefries. My god I could eat a whole potatoe field of homefries!!!

I'm eating them right now. Hubby and I had a slight disagreement tonight and I'm really upset right now so I'm indulging in my weekness.

Men really irritate me sometimes..

TO ALL YOU MEN OUT THERE:

I know we get on your nerves too, so just do a role reversal here

Mmmmm,
Cheesecake...
Snackfoods in general, chips, crackers, pretzels...
I'm very much a solitary stress eater so gimme a bag of munchies, a remote and a cozy blanky and I'm gone!

Whenever dh is deployed or TDY I make porcupine meatballs. It stems back to my childhood and always makes me feel better about him being gone.

Grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup--I probably ate it every day when I was a kid.

mmm...comfort food...

rice pudding is a big one, and any sort of bean soup. And tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich.

My absolute favorite? Ice cream--anywhere, anytime. Some people have questioned eating ice cream in winter, which I just don't understand...it sounds like blasphemy to me! My second favorite and close runner-up is good, homemade fried chicken (my absolute fave recipe [and my picky husband even likes it!!!]). And maybe a bowl of my dad's homemade chicken soup with kluski noodles. Then there's gyros, pierogies, Panera Bread's "Tuscan Chicken Sandwich", good Thai curry and spring rolls with some Thai tea...the list goes on and on! Now I'm hungry. My fave for potatoes has to be good potato skins, loaded with bubbly cheese and bacon!

Doglover, sorry about your disagreement. I hope you guys make up soon and things get better. Although I'm trying to kick the habit, I eat when I'm bummed out too (or I eat to "celebrate" when I'm happy!)

Oh my gosh, that's so funny...I was *just* thinking about indulgence food before turning on my computer!

My favorite indulgence food: packaged ramen noodles, with an egg on top and lots of Chinese chili sauce. My friends ask me how I didn't manage to get sick of the stuff in college, but I could eat this stuff every day (if I didn't fear for my blood pressure, etc).

Oooo Chrissie, I forgot about that one!!! I absolutely LOVE the way that rice pudding is made when we eat at Greek-owned restaurants!!! I don't know how they make it, but I sure can't duplicate it at home. It's SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Oh geez, here's my long list:

Chicken Fried Steak with white gravy
Movie Popcorn (just popcorn in general)
Pepperoni Pizza
Homemade chicken noodle soup
French fries
Mac N Chesse (wish my tummy loved it more)
Smashed potatoes (of course with the chicken fried steak)
My mom's spaghetti
Garlic bread
Monster taco's from Jack in the Box
Apple pie
Ravioli's (only from a little iddy biddy tiny deli found in California)
Fried chicken

I can go on and on......

I am hoping to get some of my favorite ravioli's shipped up here for Christmas this year. They were a family tradition for over 30 years, now we only get them if someone goes down there (only 600 miles each way) and brings some home. I miss them soooooooo much. More than some of my family
