adding colour to stitches in stitch holder

help please!!

I am making a sweater, and it has a v neck. I had to do the one side of the neck and put the other stitches on stitch holder. How do I add the colour in with the stitches on the stitch holder as there is no string to attach to?????

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

When you have put stitches on a holder in order to complete one side of the sweater, you need to reattach a strand of yarn to the stitches that are on the holder when you are ready to knit them. Just start knitting with it, and you can weave in the end later.
