I'm so excited! We just got another call from a friend who wants to donate another $25 for the American Heart Association. This is Awesome!! I only mentioned it to about 10 people and the turn out has been great!

i am so glad that you got to go to the sale at the cottage yarn. dh was going to let me go if i found someone to ride with me, but i couldn't, so i didn't get to, but he did say that my valentine's present will be money for yarn on saturday!

Wow. That is some GORGEOUS yarn Lestrella!!! Your son is so adorable. I bet the sale was fun. I was wondering how the turnout was with the weather. Did you see Sally Talk-a-lot?

I'm studying. Nothing to see here. But I did one whole sleeve on my Hourglass Sweater and am part way through the second. The hems are delicious. I'm going to try one or two things differently on the second sleeve and if it works I may rip the first one. No big deal it only took two evenings. The pattern calls for kfb for the increases on the sleeve, but I don't like the little hole it makes - so if the M1 I'm trying works better I'm going to do that instead on both the body and a redone sleeve. I'm waiting for needles to do the body. I'm having so much fun with this pattern!

Lestrella, that blanket is PERFECT! And I LOVE the Wildfoote sock yarn you chose - I was eyeing that one myself last week. Gorgeous colors. I used that brand of sock yarn for the Sockintine's Swap, and I had to use size 2 needles with it.

I am new to North Carolina, I live in Elkin. I love North Carolina and I love Charlotte. My two daughters live in Charlotte. That is why my husband and I moved to NC.
I am new to knittng so I am anticipating needing a lot of help. I am going to be a grandma for the first time. My daughter is due in June. That is one of the reasons I took up knitting. I want to make my new grand daughter some things.
I can't wait to get to know you all.
