Welcome to the new members!

Sand and Michelle, I sure you guys will have a great time together.

Laura, I'm really happy for you. I can't wait to visit your store and meet you. I'll send you a pm as soon as I can figure out how to do it. Can someone explain to me again how to send a pm? There used to be a little icon near our signature but I don't see it anymore.

I was first exposed to knitting when I was taking Home Ec in high school. My sister (Zip in the forum) had learned there before me, and I thought I would catch on like she did, but I had a hard time with it in my teenage years.

I tried again in 2003, using the internet as my guide. I bought a skein of red yarn and some size 10 needles, and watched the free online videos over and over again. I also bought the CD at Hobby Lobby called "Knitting Made Easy". Watching the stitches in action taught me MUCH more than any book ever could.

You should check out Amy's free videos in this forum.

Aw Michelle! We gotta get that man of yours with the program. You DESERVE a nice break! (and your kids deserve the special time with him as well.)

Just click the person's name, and you'll see the option to "Send a Private Message".

She told me it's the one in Catawba County. I'm hoping to bribe my husband into driving...he can go visit some NASCAR stuff while I buy yarn! Then I can knit in the car. :rofling:
