Mountain Laurel Crib Counterpane

I am so dying to knit this http://www.wiseneedle.com/patternpag...=knitpatlaurel, but am soooooo confused about where to start. To add to that I found a revised copy of a portion of the directions, but am not sure if they are different from this original version? Has anyone made this and has the complete, correct directions. And also maybe a few tips or hints on how to manage this undertaking? Much Thanks

Boy oh boy, that looks like some undertaking!!!! I think what might help the most is to look at the layout diagram that she has linked there. You can see clearly where the 25 hexagon pieces, 6 half hexagon pieces, and 6 edge triangle pieces go, and how it fits together. Each of those items are knit seperately, which means that each and every edge would need to be seamed.

As to whether these are the complete/revised instructions, that I don't know. Where did you find the revisions?? It does say something at the top of the pattern that sounds like there might be a different version out there, but the only difference is that charts for the motifs and borders were added?

I did find a 'corrected version', but it was dated 1998 and the pattern that you linked is copyrighted 1997, 1998, and 2001 so I imagine that whatever corrections there were have now been included.
