electric Kool aid acid test
Well not really acid but a kool aid test none the less. I got a regular plain ole J Crew natural colored boring sweater at goodwill, it said 100% wool on the label. I unraveled it and got a short 20 yard strip and then another about 50 yard strip. I washed it then dipped it in some kool aid and hung it to dry and now it looks like this.

Then I'm gonna swatch it and see how it knits up.

Andrea (aka AnreeAce) sent me the blue kool aid. Yeah! Thanks!

You know what? KA has citric acid in it, so your title is not a misnomer at all. The citric acid (so I've read) is the reason you don't have to use vinegar with KA to set the dye. Nice job, BTW. It's fruitilicious fun, isn't it?

That's so cool!

I'm so glad I managed to find that Kool-Aid for you!

Actually, what surprises me is that I remembered you wanted it after so many weeks. It's great you're getting a chance to use it! Can't wait to see what it knits up to!

That will be electrically vibrant since orange and blue are complementary colors! Can't wait to see what you knit up from them!

So here's a little swatch I knit up. I'm gonna felt it too and see if that works.
