Scrum Helmet for a baby - s2k-k1-psso
Greetings All!

RE: s2k-k1-psso

Link for pattern: Hand Maiden Scrum Helmet for Baby

Where I need assistance is with "s2k-k1-psso."

I am not certain what this means exactly. I'm referring to stitch technique "s1 k1 psso" as a guide, and may well be what is confusing me.

What I've guessed this abbreviation might mean:

slip two stitches knit wise, knit one (knitting the two slipped stitches - I've also tried knitting the next stitch on the left needle in a manner of following the instructions "literally", then slipping the next stitch on the right needle - which would be the second of the slipped stitches over the newly knitted stitch) and then passing over the stitch proceeding the 2 slipped stitches. Additionally, I've also tried, slipping two, knitting the first (although I'm uncertain why you wouldn't just knit it while it's on the left needle rather than slipping it to the right THEN knitting it) then psso the first slipped stitch over the 2nd slipped stitch that has since been knitted. However, none of these variations has netted the correct number of stitches remaining referred to in the pattern.

Thank you kindly for your assistance!

I've never seen it abbreviated that way, but it looks like it means to slip 2 sts knitwise, knit the 3rd stitch and then pass the 2 slipped sts over the knitted one.
