Thanks for all your help and ideas, I decided to just go with a plain mohawk and also decided to leave it floppy so he can flop his head around. For those of you who don't remember the posts about 3 weeks ago I needed a crazy hat idea for my b-i-l for a hat for Christmas. He said that he wanted wild colors and something that would make him stand out from everyone else when he goes snowboarding this winter with his buddies; he also wanted it to be crazy and bright. I used red heart multicolor yarn and just your basic hat in the round only I used magic loop b/c my dpn were occupied. To add the mohawk I cut pieces of yarn that were about 9" and folded them in half and used a crochet hook to pull them through and threaded them through themselves. (does that make sense) Anyway if you have any suggestions that would make it more crazy or if you think it needs more mohawk (wider) lemme know.

Yes I will post a pic of him wearing it after Christmas, I had to use a balloon for the pic (pink is the only color I had).
