How to do a basketweav on an angle (diamonds)?

I think I saw this somewhere using increases and decreases.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I just want to use it for a couple of inches (prob 10-15 rows) for the brim of a hat. The patterns I found for free online don't look right or are too big.

The one I saw looked exactly like knit/purl basketweave, just on a diagonal.

You're not talking about entrelac, are you? Here'san example of a pattern using it.

Oh, no! I bet that's it. I don't know if I can tackle that! LOL! I have found links for entrelac everywhere in the last week, when I wasn't even remotely looking for it. Figures. Must be Kharma, huh?
