Substituting Yarn
Hi Everyone !!!!
I'm sooooo excited that Christmas is comming. I really want to knit this monkey for my sister but I need help substituting the yarn.
This is the pattern : http://www.save-on-crafts.com/motoymoknpru.html
And I usually purchase my yarn at michaels, walmart, zellers !!!!!! Those are the only yarn stores were I live.
Does anyone have any idea what type of yarn I could use for his body? I think it's asking for sullivans purple twist?
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Christine

Yarndex can be helpful in finding substitute yarns. You can search by fiber and gauge to find another yarn that is similar to the one they recommend.

On yarndex, you can find eyelash yarns. Just look in the description for long eyelash, though I think any eyelash would work for it as long as it's fairly thick. If I were you, I'd just go to the store, and look for a long eyelash.
