Knee booties finished (and a few hats too)

My sister asked me if I could make her granddaughter some over-the-knee bootie-type things and she sent me a picture of some the baby's father had when he was little. I posted the pattern search on KH and of course got immediate responses! Thanks to Mama Bear, here they are after I of course had to tweak the pattern every which way. (It's a sickness). While I was at it, I threw in a few hats for the baby too. Three of the hats are crocheted though (pink bucket, red with fur, and gray fuzzy ones).

Did you adapt the pattern for in the round as well, besides the decorative features?

I did a couple of the pairs in the round and a few flat. I'm faster doing flat and seaming because my DH is always watching TV in the bedroom at night while I knit, and it drives him nuts to hear the DPNs clanking around. So I'd rather knit flat than try to keep my DPNs quiet.

I haven't decided yet whether I will post the patterns. It was actually adapting an existing vintage pattern six different ways. For instance, the knee part is short rows. The tan one is scrunchable (like the scarf) on the leg; the pink is mock baby cable, the purple is a waffle sort of stitch, the white is K4, P1 rib, the red is garter, the blue variegated is just welts. Ribbing at knee and ankle, eyelet row in the middle of the ankle ribbing. To make that shoe look, I did the first bit of the foot with "shoe" yarn, did the part that looks like the sock showing with the main color, and finished the bootie foot with the shoe color yarn.

Can you tell us what pattern you used for the little green hat? I love it!
