Trouble differentiating between my purling and my knitting
my regular knitting looks like really thick purling, and my purling looks exactly the same. Ocassionally, either the knitting or purling will show up as regular knitting, but really thin. I don't know why or how it does this, or what I'm doing differently to change it back. I'm so confuzed, i've watched the videos so many times, but can't figure out what i'm doing wrong. Any Ideas, or is it hopeless?

When you knit every row, you're making garter stitch--which can look like purling, depending on the size of the stitches--there are lines of ridges.

To get stockinette stitch, where all the purls are on one side and all the knits are on the other, then you need to knit one row, purl one row.
