New Video Format, would you mind testing it for me?
Sheldon's started reformating our videos to Flash format (should be MUCH less problematic, I know there's been problems lately!). He's replaced a few videos so far with the new format. I'd love to hear how they work for people!

Go to the Basic Techniques/Decrease page, and try watching either of the SSP (Slip Slip Purl) videos (halfway down the page). They should both end with the words "This creates a left slanting decrease on the right side." Watch them and make sure they play all the way through. Try scrolling ahead or back in the video to see how that works, it should let you do that without freezing up for long or creating problems. Answer the poll, and let me know if there are any problems!

Thanks!

Works great! I'm using firefox on a mac, if that info is helpful to you. I've never had any trouble with the old videos, even when people were reporting problems recently.

BTW, thanks again Amy and Sheldon for your ongoing hard work!

I was having intermittent problems with certain videos. So, it would be difficult to say if this would solve all the problems. I do know that flash is a really good multi platform format though. The player is also very small and quick do download. Probably a good idea.

I had no problem!! Can folks download the videos to their desktops by right-clicking and choosing "save target as" like they used to?

Works fine for me, once I downloaded the latest adobe. The video was working fine, but I wasn't getting audio until I downloaded the latest version. Works like a charm. Great work by the way!

Some of my fav Bible verses: Proverbs 30:7-9 "Two things have I required of thee: deny me them not before I die: Remove me far from vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convienent for me: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain."

A favorite little verse:

"Oh Lord, I ain't what I wanna be,
I ain't what I oughta be,
I ain't what I'm gonna be,
But oh, Thank God,
I ain't what I used to be!"
