anyone a rowan international member?
does anyone out there have a rowan international membership? i was just curious to see if it's worth the money. as far as i can tell, 2 magazines, discounts on books, and access to some free patterns is what you get. when they say "special offers and discounts on books"...what exactly does that mean? and how many free patterns do they offer each year...are they as nice as the ones found in the books?

I mean think about it? Do you usually knit from Rowan, then it's worth it. If not then don't. There must be some fine print somewhere with specific information!

uhh..thanks. i found some helpful posts from a different forum. seems that there's some that love knitting with rowan patterns but didn't find it worthwhile to be a member.

Rowan patterns are OK - personally however, I love the variety of patterns available on the web, and in yarn stores. I don't think its worth joining - I almost did earlier this year then thought better of it.

I finally caved in and paid $21 for a Rowan magazine that I absolutely love. I haven't made anything from it yet but I love to look at it, it's like a fine coffee table book or something.
I will make some of the patterns, they're different and beautiful. I'd love to join if I could afford it!
