I loved having a white Valentine's Day!

Hot cocoa, a knitting project and a huge blanket...sitting near the window to watch my kids outside playing in the snow.

Plus it gave me plenty of excuses to hug and snuggle with DH.

I'm glad you enjoyed it April. Not so much for me. I've been tired of the snow and DH is out on a ship in the Pacific ocean somewhere. Not one of my better Valentine's Days.

Sabrina, I'm sorry Valentine's Day was a bummer for you. When does he come back being out on the ocean? I don't think I could handle my DH being gone for weeks or months at a time.

Hugs to you.

As far as the snow goes, I don't even know why I live in NM. I hate it when temps get above 78 degrees--which is most days between May and October. I stay inside when it's hot, but I come out and play when it's cool or even cold out. I should move to Nebraska or somewhere.

He should be back at the end of the month, but he'll be deployed soon and won't be back for at least 6 months. :(

I'm sorry. I will pray that he comes home to you safe and that you don't go while he is away. Just keep knitting and knitting and knitting and....well, you get the idea.

BTW I like that Corset T you're making. Looks fun to do. I think I might put that on my to-do-sometime-in-this-lifetime list.

Yeah, when I saw it on Knitty Gritty I just had to make it. I'm making it for my daughter before I make one for myself. That way I can see how it comes out in $6 worth of acrylic yarn before I make one for me in $80 worth of Classic Elite yarn.

I'm here in Albuquerque -- on the West Side! If anyone's ever planning a get together, let me know!

My parents lived in Santa Fe a few years ago and I spent quite a bit of time and money at the Needle's Eye. As I recall it's on Paseo de Peralta right near Canyon Road.

The ladies there are beyond nice and they have knitting classes as well. If any of you ABQ people ever want to schlep on down to Santa Fe, it's well worth it
