OT- Gift for a man

Well since I got the new puppy my christmas knitting has been on hold. I have really only three gifts to buy this year. They are for some close friends out of state. I live in a small community where the nearest mall is 60 miles away. I already have ideas for three girls, but I need help with my friend's boyfriend. He is retired police officer. He likes all sports (big Yankee fan). The last couple of years I have gotten him books on baseball, football, etc. Now with the Christmas right around the corner and sources are limited, I am clueless on what to get him. Any ideas?
