I'm a brand-new knitter, and was so excited about starting my first project -- a simple afghan (nine squares of all-knit rows to be sewn together). I've completed two of the nine squares and was merrily starting the third when I realized ...
... I've been wrapping the yarn around the needle BACKWARDS (counter-clockwise) the whole time! Everything else about the way I created the stitches was correct, so it's not like I've been purling. (I've been purling backwards, too, but that's another story ...)
So now that I've seen the error of my ways, I'm wondering if I have to do all nine afghan squares this way. Can I start knitting correctly? Or will it make a big difference in the way the thing looks?
