Pattern question
Hi all,

I'm having a bit of trouble deciphering a pattern for a child's kerchief and was wondering if anyone could explain what the following in bold means.

Cast on 1st.
Row 1: [K1, p1, k1 into st] 3 sts.

Put one st on the needle, then knit into the front as usual, but leave it on the needle, p into the back leg, then knit into the front leg again. Or you could do a k, yo, k - knit the st leaving it on the needle, wrap the yarn around for a YO, then knit into it again. Either way, you end up with 3 sts instead of 1.
