Okay, I answered yes because I can. However, I wouldn't crochet anything other than maybe an edge on a knitted project. Other than afghans I don't really care for crochet that much.

No, but I would like to learn. A few years ago, a friend tried to teach me through emails, but I must admit that I just couldn't get over the very basics. I'm usually a fast learner, but just couldn't do it!

A favorite little verse:

"Oh Lord, I ain't what I wanna be,
I ain't what I oughta be,
I ain't what I'm gonna be,
But oh, Thank God,
I ain't what I used to be!"

I can. I'd say I'm a much better crocheter than I am a knitter.

Yes, since I was 18, and I'm 38 now. I come from a long line of crocheters. In fact, I didn't begin knitting until early this year. At the Hobby Lobby in Sherman, they were selling thier needle craft leaflets for half price. I decided to try knitting, while they were still that price, and I've become so addicted.

I learned when I was 5. I've pretty much switched to knitting now, but it's a very useful skill to have! And I still pick it up everynow and then for lace.

One day, a long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, my Grandma taught me a few of the basics. I went home with a crochet hook and some yarn and really went to town with it. Unfortunately, the novelty wore off pretty quickly -- as it will when you're that age. I didn't touched a crochet hook again until I got a set this year for my knitting arsenal -- so far I've only done some simple crochet edges on knitted projects. Have been meaning to do more...

My mother tried to teach me at least five times and I just cannot learn it. I'm glad I found knitting!
