I am getting mixed up
When you increase at both edges of a sleeve or both edges of a body which increase comes first? Is it the left slant first and then the right slant and the end? That way they slant towards the middle not the edges, right? I am getting confused because when you sew it up you want the increases to go out away from the seam right? If I was in the middle of a row and had to do two increases side by side then I would do a right slant then a left slant right?

I don't think there's any right or wrong way. You do what you like as long as you're consistent.
