i'm knitting this one dog sweater ... its rather easy but being a new knitter you might not think so because it is done in rib. i hated rib when i started knitting what type of dog are you knitting for?

I whipped up that moonarts sweater for my grand-dog in about two hours. He is a big-ish Chi-hua-hua and I thought the dog in the picture looked about medium sized. So, I followed the pattern using 11's and 13's instead of the needles called for. I also used a chunky wool that I thought was comparable to the Rowan Big Wool called for in the pattern. I used two different colors to make wide stripes.

It turned out adorable and the pup loves it. It is a nice pattern because I think sleeves and high collars bug my grand-dog and this pattern has neither.
