Scarfs for the wee ones

Im making a scarf for my niece for christmas. (4 days to go xxx ) but I was wondering for a two year old...how long should the scarf be? Thanks

well i just googled Toddler scarf and the ones I found were between 24-30 inches. I gotta say that even at that age, putting something like that around their neck freaks me out a bit. I may be just having an extremely over protective moment though... (it happens to me a lot...lol)

Thanks! that helps...my pattern said 40" and i thought that was a bit long. Im not a mommy yet...so I didn't think about the choking factor or the dangers of having something wrapped around their little necks... Thanks again!
