A hat... and more hats.
With the holidays coming up, I made a couple of hats as gifts.
The first two are Magknits Fake Isle pattern, made with Patons SWS and Lamb's Pride worsted.
The last is a spur of the moment, make-it-up-as-I-go-along experiment for my daughter. (She's obsessed with anything to do with cats!) It's made with some sort of fuzzy Hobby Lobby yarn and Wool Ease scraps, and took about and 1 1/2 - 2 hours to crochet. I'm toying with the idea of taking some plain black mittens and adding a furry cuff and pink 'paw pads' to the palms, I dunno.
Thanks for looking!

You GO girl...wish *I* was the lucky recipient!

Love the cat idea... as I am in the midst of that myself. Making it up as I go to... just coz it's more challenging.
I was ALSO planning on doing the paw pads on the mits.
great minds, think alike!

I'd send the cat hat pattern to Knitty to see if they'd publish it (since it crochet) or Magknits. That cat hat is sooo cute.

Thanks so much, everyone!
I hadn't considered doing that, Compulsive! It seems like Crochet Me has alread run a cat hat, but it might be worth looking into! Who knows.
Krystal -- funny thing is, I was going to say "Great minds think alike!" then I finished reading your post and you already beat me to it. D'oh!
