Pattern question

My pattern says to K1, *yfwd, sl 1, K1, psso, rep from * to last st, K1.

My question is, when I yarn forward and slip stitch 1, do I then move the yarn to the back of the needle to knit 1 or just leave it where it is in front and knit 1? Thank you.

It isn't saying "with yfwd" so I am thinking that is just a yarn over. That would leave the yarn in the back for you.

So in other words, don't bring the yarn to the front, just wrap it around the needle so it's in back again? The hat only took me about an hour, but it didn't look quite like the picture, so I ripped it out and was going to try it again with help from someone, like you! Thanks. Pat

I think you should k1, put the yarn in front, slip a stitch, put the yarn in back, knit 1, put the yarn in front, slip, yarn in back to knit, etc, etc.
