I made the MITTS !
I absolutely love the look of fingerless mittens, and have wanted to try making some since seeing so many in this forum !

Well, hooray, hooray, I finished mine today !

The original mitten pattern is from a book titled, "Knitting Pretty", by Kris Percival...............I took liberties with the pattern by changing the ribbing to 1 x 1 instead of 2 x 2, and by cutting the knitting short and adding more of the same ribbing around the knuckles.

Hope you like ! xxx

Another shot of them on my Flickr site.........

I really like them! I like how they don't look really bulky like some of the other patterns out there!! I want some!

Great! I am also working up the bravery to start a pair for my sister. She even bought the yarn and and extra skein for me. Must get to work while it is still winter.

Totally lucky that all the little skeins I have been picking up look so good together !

I whipped up this pair last night..........guess I'm on a roll now. The first pair took one day a piece (I mean, as much time as you can squeeze in to knit in a normal day), what with all the color changing........and these second ones (bulkier) were knitted during a couple of movies.......John Wayne, and Cary Grant.........it's a wonder I could keep my mind on my knitting~~~~~~~~swoon !
