2sts 0 times?
I am shaping the armhole of my sweater and it says bind off for the armhole at each side every other row 3sts 1 time, 2sts 0 times and 1st 2 times. I understand the 3sts 1 time and 1sts 2 times but what do I do for 2sts 0 times. Do I knit one row even then start 1sts 2 times or do I do the 3sts 1 time and go straight to 1sts 2 times?

lol okay that instruction amused me. However, is the pattern written for different sizes? A lot of times, if it is, the pattern will give instructions for size X to do something but size Y shouldn't do it, so that is how it tells you that. I would suppose, in this case, you would knit even for whatever portion of the pattern it is telling you to do that.

I think they want you to do one row even in between your 3-st decreases and 1-st decreases. That way, no matter which size of the sweater you're making, the number of rows would be the same. Good question, though! I had to give that one some serious thought myself!

shaping armhole
When the piece measures 34-35-36-37-38 cm bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 0-1-2-3-4 times and 1 st 2-3-4-5-6 times = 82 sts remain for all sizes. When the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm bind off the center 20 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 30 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm.
I thought I would give you the full instructions so you could read them. Does this make a difference in what you said to do? One row even in between 3sts BO and 1st BO?

Yep, looks right--one row even.

shaping neck
When the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm bind off the center 20 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 30 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm.
Just to make sure, this is where I would use a second ball of yarn right? Then work each side separately?

Is it better to bind off on the right side and then dec on the wrong side or bind off on the wrong side and then dec on the right side?

Yes, you'd need another ball of yarn to work them at the same time. As far as BO/decreases, it's really a matter of preference. I prefer to do decreases on the RS, but they look the same either way. I'd probably go until it's *exactly* the length measurement asked for, and then do my BO on the next row. All up to you!
