I did read that it takes 4oz. for the main color and a few ounces for the other colors. have cast on already and working my first row!!

I knit up to row 11 tonight.

It's certainly easy so far!! Can't wait to do more on it tomorrow.

Jan, Thank you so much for posting your pictures of what's what on the sweater when it was still not folded to look like a sweater. Now I know what I've been working on for the first 11 rows. I had NO idea. I thought it was the bottom...I was wrong!! Thanks again!!

You're welcome! I had no idea either really and thought the same thing. It helps so you can do the colors in a certain way if you want to.

This sweater reminds me of when I did a "Mystery Quilt". You are told how much fabric to buy and how to cut it but you have NO idea what you are making. I've done only one!!

The wallhanging quilt turned out nice BUT had I known what I WAS making I would have changed some of the fabrics etc. I guess I'm the kind that wants to know first. lol

I started another little sweater with some turquoise stash wool blend I had. Finding a good contrasting color for stripes may be difficult for this one.

I may just make it a solid color. I've seen those and they look just as cute.

It looks like the possibilities with this sweater are endless when it comes to how it can "look".

If I like how mine comes out I think I'd do a solid color one next. I've done a Google search on images of this sweater and there are a nice assortment of pics. to see on the sweater.

Hi Quiltlady...are you the Celine that's been posting in the Yahoo group?

I'm going to start another one! Well actually I HAD started, but had to frog because I did the decreases wrong.

BTW..I got the video! It's great for visual learners. Even though I've done one I got some helpful hints and she shows how to do the i-cord bind off and collar.
