Help With Reading Scarflet Pattern

Do these directions say ow to make the slit to tuck the end of the scarf into?

SCARFLET
With straight needles, cast on 15 sts. Work even in St st for 3", end on WS.
Next Row (RS): K6, bind off 3 sts, k6.
Following Row: P6, cast on 3 sts, p6. Work even in St st until scarf measures approximately 22" and yarn is almost gone. Bind off all sts.
To wear, wrap scarflet around neck, tucking long end through slit from WS to RS.

It's made with Berroco Chinchilla ... my friend wants to make it but can't see where the slit is ..... How do you do where it says "next row", knitting, binding off and knitting again? Perhaps that is how you make the slit?

This part right here shows how you make the slit - it seems more like a hole but you'll end up with this

RS: K K K K K K K K K
WS: P P P P P P P P P
RS: K K K o o o K K K
WS: P P P c c c P P P
RS: K K K K K K K K K
WS: P P P P P P P P P

Where the ooo and ccc are is where the "hole" will appear.
