Clapotis Yarn Help!!!

I was thinking of making a clapotis for my mom. The only yarn store where I live is Michaels. I'm just wondering what type of yarn I could buy from Michaels to make it?
Any Ideas???

Many people have made them with Caron's Simply Soft, especially for the first one. Some use Paton's SWS and that looks really pretty. Just about any yarn works well except the fuzzy ones because the fluffy yarn sticks to itself and it's hard to drop the stitches.
