Anthropologie Inspired Capelet
Hello all, I haven't been posting for a while because I have been very busy teaching school - but I love knitting!! I have finished my first ever garment beyond a hat or scarf! I chose the Anthropologie Inspired Capelet pattern found at http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=62184.0

I was unable to get the Rowan Polar, but I substituted 3 balls of Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk, colour 25015. I found that although the DB Alpac-Silk label called for size 8 needles, that my yarn seemed a little bulkier from the loft of the alpaca. I knit it on the size 11 bamboo circular needles and my gauge turned out to be the same as for the Polar. As it is meant to be thrown on overtop of a turtleneck or camisole in spring, I thought the gauge would be appropriate. Anyway - I'm happy with how it turned out.

I knit this for my sister who now has it in her possession and loves it! I am thinking that I am going to have to knit another one for myself now.

I love the color! The alpaca/silk has a really nice drapey quaility that you would not get from the Rowan Polar.
