You should check out Rockdale spotlight, Susan. Well laid out, HEAPS of yarn, and parking underneath with escalators to the door :D It's one of my favourites.

I'm available July 4th... :D

Perhaps rather than going personally you could send a note and ask anyone interested in a penpal or online connection to get in contact?

Thanks Susan.. I have enough online buddies (not a huge amount, but enough for me) to chat with about knitting so that's not really a problem. Just too shy to meet anybody new in person!

WB... it's always scary going somewhere where you don't know anyone.

I'm actually quite shy myself, when it comes to meeting people in person... BUT let me say, that the reward in being a part of an IRL community is worth the huge amount of anxiety going in.

I'm from Perth and new here.

I think I will have to go try out Mt Lawley on Monday night, if I have enough guts too, I can get a bit timid around strangers, but then I will BLAH BLAH till the cows come home!

I am just getting back into knitting. I learnt as a child then picked it up again 3 yrs ago with help from my MIL but then I think she had enough of pretending to be nice so I haven't done anything since.

Love to join a real life group and start again, good excuse to do something out of the home without the kiddies too.

So hello to all you fellow Aussie Knitters and I look forward to chatting.

H,

The Perth, Mt. Lawley S'n'B group is friendly and would love to see new people. Don't be shy, it's a nice way to spend your Monday evenings. Check out their website here: http://craftyaction.blogspot.com.

Hello fellow Aussies,

I'm terribly new to this site, and was wondering if anyone was aware of any youth knitting groups in Vic?

My friends and I have become slightly obsessed with what is now known as "The Knit" in our circle, but were feeling a bit lost as to where to find other young people who enjoy knitting...

Thanks heaps!

diz =)
