felting and color question
i'm going to make a felted bag with patons classic wool in rosewood. the pattern calls for knitting 2 strands together. having never done this with striped yarn, i was wondering if i should try to match up the color strands or if matters that much.

doesn't really matter...just depends on the look you want. you can either use two strands of the same colorway, or to add some interest, you can do one strand of the variegated and one of a complimenting solid. I generally prefer the latter so I can make the handles in the solid to make it a bit more interesting to look at, but that's just me. It is your bag...what do you want it to be?
