Summer time MN knitter!
Hi from South Texas! I am kind of a MN knitter as we come to MN every summer. We have a house in Northern MN in the small town of Baudette. This will be our 6th summer and we will get to stay longer since our school year will start later next year. There is a small group of ladies who meet at the local coffee shop to knit and I love going. There unfortunately is nothing like that where I live in TX. Does anyone know of a good place to stop for yarn on the way north form the twin cities? Take care and have a blessed day!

Hi!

Yes, if you are going up I94 toward Fargo, there is a shop-the Yarn Cafe-close to the Interstate in Maple Grove. Get off on Bass Lake Road going east and two stoplights in take a left. It is in a small stip mall just across from Culvers.

It is a very nice shop. You can shop and have a bite to eat. They also serve coffee, wine and beer. I have taken all of my classes there and the people are very friendly and helpful!

Hello MN knitters~

Hi Tracey...I finally took the time to get online. I am working on my second project and hit a huge snag! My 3 year old pulled out several rows of my work and I had to get to a starting point. When I started purling I realized that the stitch is twisted. What do I do?????

I wanted to have this done by Easter...a new poncho!

Any advice from all is greatly appreciated!

Thank you...thank you...thank you~

Pam

Hello Pam!

Sorry to hear about your predicament! Those three-year-olds can be fast! I was with my two-year-old nephew this weekend and boy, I had to watch my yarn or he would run around the room with it!

Are the stitches twisted from when you put them back on the needle? If I did it, I would just leave them on the needle twisted and then when you purl, purl on the back side of the loop, once you get done with the row or round, your stitches will be untwisted and you can knit as you normally would!

Hope this helps!

Twisted Reply
Yes, I believe that is what I did. I am going to attempt it tonight and if I don't have any success I am heading to the Yarn Cafe.

Are you going to attend any of the Friday nights at B & N? That was really a good time and it is fun to see everyone else's projects and how they work.

Have a great day...talk to you later!
