In Carver (just south of Chaska on 212).
I drive through EP every day to and from work though (I work in Bloomington).

Do you knit continental style? I don't but with all the hub bub about the differences in English and Continental I thought I'd try Continental but my fingers just don't want to do what they're supposed to do. I started knitting when I was 7 and now I'm 54 and at times I think I should leave well enough alone. Any opinions?

I taught myself how to knit Jan 05. I learned English (I'm very very right hand dominant), but I wanted to learn Continental for two color knitting, so I tried to teach myself that, but had a hard time with it. Ultimately, I taught myself Combined until my left hand got more used to being worked, then Continental was easier.
I'm not great at it yet, but I can do either now.

What is combined? I'm also very right hand dominant but I'm gonna still try it some more before I decide if I want to be able to do both.

You wrap the purl loops around the needle differently, so it ends up twisting the stitches. When you knit across, you need to knit into the back of the stitch to untwist it.
Here are some resources if you're interested.
