hat conversion question
i started a basic rolled brim hat (CO 88 stitches, work in st st until you're done kinda deal) but i was thinking of adding cables... can i just stop doing the roll brim at 2 inches and then convert it to this cabled pattern beginning at the start pattern section or will i screw something up. i would like to retain the rolled brim, otherwise i would just start over.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. - Marianne Williamson

I don't see why not. The cast on is the same so it should be just fine.
