What's the best yarn shop in Houston? Any part of town will do, I'm sending the info to an online acquaintance who is traveling to H-Town.

I haven't been to many, but Twisted Yarn in Spring is nice.

Yarns 2 Ewe on Shepherd is pretty cool. Good selection of Malabrigo.

Both of those shops are wonderful. Yarns 2 Ewe has a larger inventory than Twisted Yarns. However, both store have wonderful sales people that are very helpful.

Hi everyone...I just joined this forum and I'm so glad I finally found people who knit in the Houston area!! I live in Spring, but work around the 249/1960 area. Does anyone know of any knitting groups that meet in the evening in either of these two areas?

Hi!!!!!!! I know of a Dayknitters which meet in the Woodlands on a weekday morning. If that's too far, check at Joann's on 249 & 1960. There's also a Meribee LYS S of 1960 W near Champions area for a group. The next nearest LYS would be E. of I-45 at Twisted Yarns LYS.

Knitting in the Loop is suppossed to be pretty good - and I know they stock yarns from a local dyer: Knitivity.

Where would I find info on this Dayknitters group in the Woodlands? I wish there was something in Conroe!

I don't know anything about the Dayknitters group, but I have been looking for a group myself. I get off work on Fridays at 11 am. Would you consider meeting someplace and maybe starting our own group?
