Okay Houston knitters!!! I'm finally here! Let's get together and knit! I'm available most days and evenings except for June 9-13. Y'all know locations better than me, so just name the place and I am so there. I'm located in the Woodlands, but will go just about anywhere. Can't wait to meet all of you!

Katy is a bit too far for me - about 50 miles actually!

Anyone want to meet somewhere closer? Don't we have some Woodlands/Spring/Tomball knitters here?

Hi all.... It's nice to see folks from the area.... seems like we have special needs with our temps and all... so it will be nice to have compadres!

I am heading to Yarns 2 Ewe on Shepherd when I get off work this aft. so I can find some yarn to join in Arielluria's KAL....

http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting...ad.php?t=59954

I have NEVER been to a YS before, and must admit I am nervous... hope I don't commit any knitting faux pas!

I live in SW area.... outside loop, inside Beltway.

My First Time....
Weeeellllll, Fine I guess, JJ -- a bit overwhelming, since I am not familiar w/ what all the different yarns mean.... I thought there was supposed to be some kind of international coding system -- ya know, the 1's, 2's, 3's, etc.... not so, I tell you!!

There's DK, 4 Ply... blah, blah... what the hey! And I was too embarrassed to ask... I am VERY much on the shy side.

Lots of gorgeous stuff... but was any of it what I was looking for? I don't know....

Anyway... I did manage to find some that I think will work for the cabled tank... not the color I wanted (found colors I liked, but they didn't have enough balls), but a material make up I think may work (more cotton than anything)...Waaaay more expensive than anything I have purchased online.... But I was not - repeat not- going to leave empty handed!:rofling:

They had a little corner w/ a couple of ladies visiting and I guess knitting... I couldn't really see them. There were some yarns over that way, but I was afraid they would think I was eavesdropping if I went over there to look... how paranoid am I??

The people looked normal enough -- not sure what I was expecting -- a different species or something???

Sorry to go on.... but I am the only "knitter" in my group of friends... so they just laugh at me (kind heartedly, of course).

Hi y'all! What's a good day/time for everyone? I can't at night or weekends, but that's my schedule. I'm in Woodlands area too.
