Don't be afraid to ask, knitters are notorious for wanting to help!!!!

yarn store
Yeah, I should be better next time... I was so nervous I almost fainted when I left... But will know what to expect next time. The girl that checked me out was very sweet.

I will also go armed with more knowledge of my weights.

Love the yarn though... started the Latoya last night, and I think the yarn will work well.... verrrrrry light and thin. And is just nice to knit with.

If you're like me you nearly fainted due to the prices
BTW, here's a Standard Weight System link, it might help. I'm relatively new, so I'm still figuring it all out myself. If you ever need it again it's on my blog under "Other Knitting Related Stuff" on the right margin.

BTW, that LaToya, is that from the KA for summer tops? The one I first considered? It's cuuuuuuute! I changed my mind, and am going with another, I first have to figure out all those UK instructions.......it's on pg. 5 (post #43).

Lu, thanks... I had seen that chart before, but had forgotten all about it!

Yes, the Latoya is from the KAL you started... and I saw the tunic... gorgeous... I actually thought about switching, but thought I might get confused, and this one seemed pretty straight forward... plus there's some one else who has done the Latoya.

Maybe next I will do the tunic... Lord knows we have enough warm weather to warrant it!! And you will have already worked out all the translation kinks! :rofling:

BTW, anyone in NW Houston know if Meribee closed (near Champions)? I drove by where I am pretty sure it used to be, but didn't see it.

Knottyknitter,

Can anyone join your group in Humble? I live nearby and would love knitting with a group of knitters during the week.

Humble's a little far for me, do you have a LYS nearby? Maybe you can find someone there.

Hey Lu - Got your message, my 14 yr old niece has been visiting and she just left! Whew! Let's get together sometiime and knit!

I'm interested in the Humble area group, too. It's a little far for me, but I just moved here and want to explore! Can we have the details of when & time?
