drying mitts

I made a pair of wool mitts. It says to dry flat but can you dry them on the vent on the floor. I have a mitt dryer it is plastic and has cone shapes sticking up. YOu just put your mitts or boots upside down on them and they dry real quick. If I do this with wool mitts will they shrink or felt?

I think they'd be ok. Felting comes from the agitation, mostly. If you have them propped with warm air blowing on them, they should be fine.

And they won't shrink?

I don't think they'll shrink.
I've dried bags on top of the radiator before, and they were fine.
(but one ended up with lines in it once.)
