sock heel flap help
Hi...
I'm working on my first pair of socks. I've come to the heel flap and it says....

k11 onto one needle, then slip last 11 sts of previous round onto beg of same needle. 22 sts on that needle. The heel flap will be worked back and forth over these 22 sts. Turn work to begin working a WS row.

Row 1 WS sl1, p to end
Row 1 RS *sl1,k1* to end
repeat these 2 rows 9 time then work row 1 once more.

Okay.... I understand the row 1 and 2. However.... after I k11 and slipped the 11 (total 22) now the working yarn is in the middle of the 22 sts. (11 sts, working yarn, 11 sts.)

What did I do wrong?

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

It sounds like you should knit 11 and then take the 11 that preceded those stitches onto the needle for the heel flap.

Thanks, Ingrid...
I guess that was just a little too obivious to me to see.

Now I'm a little stumped on the next instruction. Maybe I'm trying to read all of this a little too closely. But it says.... repeat these two rows 9 times more, then work row 1 once more.

Okay.... so is that row 1 and 2 9 times (18 total) then one more row 1
or...
row 1 row 2 (count 1,2) for a total of 9 then one more row 1.

Thanks so much for your patience with me. I'm sure it's another obvious question, but I want to make sure I get it right before I have to rip it out.

Work both rows 1 and 2, 9 times for 18, plus 1 more.
