Stretched out scarf

I knit a really pretty scarf, but after wearing it a few times it has increased in length. Is there any way to get it back to the length I wanted?

Is it a material that can be put in the dryer? That could be an option for you, but keep in mind that while it might shrink in length, it could also shrink in width.

You could also open the caston and/or bind off row and take a few off if you feel comfortable doing it. :thinking:

Can you tell if it has increased by the stitches stretching out or by the yarn itself stretching? A different solution would be used for each.
