Giving the Gift of Felting

I knit a felted bag for my best buddy
I made a nice simple knot for the clasp of the flap and an nicely intricate knot in the figure 8 i-chord strap
I gave it to her
UNFELTED, with instruction on how I would do it
she felted it last night while my youngest daughter was having a sleepover/playdate with her kids
so she could ask "is THIS how your Mum does this, is This how she does that"
and she LOVES the bag

I am so happy
but I wanna SEE it now

WOW - that's a really awesome idea !! I have an entire box of things (some overdo gifts) waiting to be felted. I bought 5-6 hanks of the same yarn so I was thinking I could just felt everything at once : )

Unfortunately, my friends would probably put it on shelf and never felt it...
