Help with pattern

When I saw one of the stitches in parenthesis, it kind of threw me off, so I wanted to make sure I asked for confirmation of what the pattern was asking me to do. The one row of the pattern reads:

K1. *K2tog. (yfwd) twice. Sl1. K1. psso. Rep from * to last st. K1.

Does that mean that what's between the *'s would be worked like this:

K2tog. Yfwd. K2tog. Yfwd. Sl1. K1. PSSO. ?

I would read it as wrapping the yarn around the needle twice.

I'd read the row as

k1
k2tog
yarn around needle twice for 2 yarn overs
sl, k1, psso
