Moving this to Friday is no problem at all. In fact it works great for me. You've got big things to do Thursday and I'm really happy for your sister.
Have a great weekend!

Martha and others,
I spent a few days last week with my sister in Buda! Wish I'd known there were knitters there or I would have looked you up!
However, we did discover that there is a new knitting shop in Buda now, namely the Yellow Sweater, owned by Amy Crockett.
It's behind the Carrington House. Hours are Wed - Sunday, open on Tues by appt only.
On Sundays it's open from 1-5 PM.

Anyone going to see the Yarn Harlot tomorrow night? I'd love to have a friend to sit with!

Hey everybody! I'm in North San Antonio, and I love Austin (was born there!) so I head over there a lot on weekends just because..... I would love to meet up with any knitters in SA, Schertz, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Buda, Kyle, etc...sometime! Weekends are good, Friday evenings are good (because my husband gets off work at 3:00 on Fridays so he would be home for the kids), and even weekdays from around 10:00 until 1:30 or 2:00 would be great (when the kids are in school) depending on where we meet. I don't mind driving farther on weekends, but if we could meet somewhere between SA and Austin during the week that would be great!
Let me know if anyone is ever interested!
Lauri

Hi, Lauri! I was born in Austin, too! I don't get south of Austin much, but went to college in SA so I get down that way occasionally. Mostly just wanted to say "Welcome!" Let me know if you ever head into Austin.

Hill Country Weavers is about a mile south on Congress. That is the only yarn store I know near downtown.

Christine, be careful on 6th street, it's gotten a little scary in recent years. There's a yarn shop a little north of downtown called Gauge. http://www.gaugeknit.com/
