Newbie, need to buy basic needles
I am learning to knit in my grandma years, it is more portable than the sewing machine. <grin>

I need to buy a basic set of needles, but am overwhelmed at the options.
I'll have to buy online due to recent broken hip, so I'm home bound.

I have two sets of needles that are metal from Wally world which are hard to work with - yarn slips off easily. Don't know if it is my inexperience or the needles. I'd like to buy a quality basic set of cables plus some dpn.

Please give me your knowledgable opinion. Thanks in advance.

Mimi

There is a thread at the top of the General forum. It has lots of information about some of our favorite brands.
