Combined knitting question
Is it possible for somebody that knits English style to do combined knitting? Would it be a faster method than just knitting English style?
I'm "the mean twin".

I'm on flickr, too!
I love to knit shawls...after all, a girl can't have too many shawls!

It's possible to do it english style, whether it's faster I don't know. Amy has a video for combined knitting/purling and she mentions how to it for english knitters. Here's another link.

When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.

Nona doesn't recognize it as such (I think it was a independent unvention on her part), but here are some directions for an english version of combined purling.

There is no right way to knit; there is no wrong way to knit. So if anybody kindly tells you that what you are doing is "wrong," don't take umbrage; they mean well. Smile submissively, and listen, keeping your disagreement on an entirely mental level. They may be right, in this particular case, and even if not, they may drop off pieces of information which will come in very handy if you file them away carefully in your brain for future reference. ~Elizabeth Zimmerman
